Robbie the Recycling Squirrel
Learn All About Our Mascot for Recycling!

With Robbie the Recycling Squirrel, elementary school students can learn about the recycling process first-hand. Along with Robbie, the recycling educator and local operators of City recycling trucks make scheduled on-site visits to schools, recreation centers, and youth groups to conduct recycling presentations and, if scheduled on Fridays, provide demonstrations with recycling trucks.

Schools, recreation centers, youth groups, and others can participate in recycling educational activities conducted by T&ES and its mascot, Robbie the Recycling Squirrel. Youth will learn about recycling, reuse, waste reduction, recycled-content products, household hazardous waste, and other environmental issues.

For more information on educational programs offered by T&ES or to schedule a visit with Robbie the Recycling Squirrel, please contact the Recycling Specialist, City of Alexandria's Department of Transportation and Environmental Services, at
(703) 751-5872 or send an e-mail at askrobbie@alexandriava.gov.
